Chemical Polishing
Descale & Chemical Polish
During the manufacturing of components, it can be commonplace for parts to experience elevated temperatures in various atmospheres, such as the manufacturing of glass to metals seals, or annealing or heat-treating substrates to alter their properties to increase hardness or ductility. SGA have developed various chemistries to remove heat scale / oxides from the following substrates, without the fear of causing etching to the base material.

| Inconel | |
| Nickel Iron | |

| Kovar | |
| Molybdenum | |
| Beryllium Copper | |

The removal of these oxides is essential to promote good adhesion on plated surfaces or if the parts are unplated and are used in the field in scientific equipment where finished can affect their electrical performance.
